Apple cider vinegar has a lot of health benefits. It's aids the good bacteria while killing bad bacteria with its high acetic acid content (it's basically a natural antibiotic), it helps cleanse your skin, helps with #detoxification as well as being a good source of #potassium and #magnesium. This stuff is liquid gold and should become a part of your #morningritual. If you can change ONE thing today then Let it be the addition of apple cider vinegar to your daily consumption.
Proper stomach acid levels are necessary for proper digestion and nutrient absorption. The acetic acid in vinegar counteracts the low stomach acid. Apple cider vinegar stimulates production of hydrochloric acid, which helps the digestive process. Apple cider vinegar can also help balance pH levels, reducing the occasional burn triggered by the backflow from the stomach into the esophagus. Acid reflux occurs when acid from the stomach flows upward.
Salad dressing: replace half the vinegar in your favorite homemade dressing with ACV or try this... 1 tbsp ACV, 1tbsp dijon mustard, 1/4 cup olive oil. Delicious on arugula salad with apple slices and dried cranberries.
Drink tonic: 1tbs ACV. 1 cup seltzer or club soda. Stir and drink. Enjoy! Add 1 tsp of honey if you need a little sweetness.
Sore throat tonic: In a large mug of warm water, mix 1 tablespoon of ACV with 2 tablespoons of honey for a throat tonic. For something tastier, try ginger tea with 1 to 2 teaspoons of ACV, honey, and coconut oil. Gargle 1 to 2 teaspoons of ACV with warm salt water for 20 to 30 seconds two to three times a day.
