Brain Foods for a productive study session

POV: If you're a student trying to study for a big test and trying to understand a lot of new information, it is important to keep your health in tip-top shape. By staying healthy you can improve your cognitive information and promote academic performance to reach your goals. 

 

It's been known that certain foods may be helpful for brain health and the improvement of mental performance. Here is some food that has been known to improve brain health and be a good choice when you are gaining new information or studying for that big test. 

 

1. Berries: 

Consisting of Blueberries, Blackberries, and Strawberries, berries are well off in a range of compounds that can help improve academic performance.  Berries include anthocyanins, which are known to help mental performance by elevating blood flow to the brain and protecting against inflammation. 

2. Dark Chocolate and Cocoa products: 

Dark Chocolate and Cocoa products have higher flavonoid content by its weight than any other food.

Studies have shown that Dark Chocolate and Cocoa can reduce mental fatigue, improve blood flow to the brain, and is a boost for memory and reaction time on mental duties. 

3. Nuts: 

Nuts like Almonds, Macadamias, and Pistachios are essential for brain health like vitamin E and Zinc. They are concentrated find of protein, healthy fats,  and fiber. studies show that having nuts as a snack may help improve certain parts of brain function.
